"Come, you spirits/ That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here,/ And fill
me from the crown to the toe topful/ Of direst cruelty!" At this
point I really couldn't stand being a woman any longer. I wasn't sure if
Macbeth would have the manliness that he would need in order to commit the
murder and I wished that I could be more manly in order to make up
for Macbeth's lack thereof. This was really an attempt to make myself stronger
and harder of heart in order to have what it takes to lead Macbeth through to
the end of the crime that we had to commit. This is another one of those ones
that would have been more powerful if I had said it in front of Macbeth in
order to really show him how unmanly he was. This could have really spurred him
on and convinced him to kill Duncan perfectly and prove his manliness.
